A viral prank we pulled at Funny Or Die where we leaked a fake cell phone video of Dennis Quaid having an huge melt down on a movie set, then revealed the truth a week later. As you can see in the video, half the world believed it was real and half suspected it was actually a Jimmy Kimmel prank, leading Kimmel to publicly deny it on his show. Directed two episodes of this short lived History Channel series written by Elizabeth Shapiro and featuring tons of comedy legends. This episode features Steve Little, Ben Feldman, Kate Berlant, and Johnny Pemberton. Eric Roberts was also cast to play a pivotal roll, but he never showed up to set so we promoted another actor named Shannon Holmes to play his part and he knocked it out of the damn park. I co-directed two episodes on the final season of the Youtube Original comedy series FOURSOME. This season was built around an Amblin-esque adventure involving a treehouse and a list of dares that sent the characters into wild and raunchy scenarios. This is a music video made for the great band Osees. Inspired by the works of Japanese visual artist Takashi Ito, all the effects were done in camera and achieved by shooting one frame at a time (stop motion style) with a slow shutter, moving lights and video projection. Written by Emily Strachan and starring AnnaSophia Robb & Evan Peters. I also made all the music parodying songs from The Cars, Phoenix, Azealia Banks and The Strokes, the latter of which got so many comments asking for an mp3 that Funny Or Die released it as a single. An Evil Dead parody made for Funny Or Die starring Mena Suvari and Eli Roth. Lots of vomit and goo in this one. Learned the hard way that it’s not a great idea to rev a real chainsaw indoors. A Columbo / Sharknado parody starring Kevin Pollack as a shark headed detective named Sharklumbo. Kevin Pollock wasn’t actually on set, he just did the voice. Kevin only allowed a limit of 2 people to come over to his home to record his Peter Faulk impression and the writer (icon Jake Fogelnest) had to be one of them, so me and my directing partner Justin Nijm were forced to flip a coin to see which one of us would go.
